LIBERATION MOVEMENT (PART 2)
MONDAY 8TH APRIL, 2024.
Whenever God moves on the behalf of His people, one of the things He achieves is the liberation of His people.
LIBERATION MOVEMENT is defined as any move of God that brings about the liberty of God’s people from their captivities.
LIBERATION MOVEMENT is the application of the move of divine power for the liberty of the saints.
Whenever God moves by His mighty power to set at liberty His saints from bondage, it is called liberation movement.
Exodus 3:19-20
[19]And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.
[20]And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.
We could learn from the scriptures above that :
(1) the captor of God’s people will not let go of them by mere wish or words.
(2) It will takes the mighty hand of God to liberate God’s people from the hold of their captor.
(3) God’s mighty hand must be stretched out before the liberty of the saints could be guaranteed. Until God’s mighty hand is involved, the saints of God will remain in bondage.
(4) When God’s mighty hand is withdrawn or in His bosom, the enemy of God’s people will be reproaching and blaspheming..
Psalms 74:10-12
[10]O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?
[11]Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom.
[12]For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
The salvation/liberation of God’s people are in the outworking of God’s mighty hand.
(5) The stretching out of God’s mighty hand out of His bosom is the move of God’s hand.
Exodus 3:20
[20]And I will stretch out my hand….
Every stretch brings about a movement.
“I will stretch out my hand” means “I will move my hand”
The liberation of God’s people is sequel to the movement of God’s hand.
Exodus 3:20
[20]And I will stretch out my hand,…… after that he will let you go.
The hand of God is the power of God. Whenever God’s hand moves, liberty is secured for the saints.
The movement of God’s hand for the enforcement of the liberty of the saints is liberation movement.
THE NECESSITY OF LIBERATION MOVEMENTS.
Liberation movement is necessary for the saints for the following reasons, among others.
(1) The saints are ordained to walk in liberty.
Galatians 5:13
[13]For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty……
Psalms 119:45
[45]And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
(2) Our service to God can only be done in liberty. The enemy must let go of us that we may serve God.
Exodus 4:23
[23]And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me….
Exodus 7:16
……. Let my people go, that they may serve me…..
(38) Until we are out of the hand of the enemy, we cannot serve God in righteousness and holiness. The hand of the enemy defiles, corrupts and pollutes.
Luke 1:74-75
[74]That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
[75]In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
Wherever fear, defilement, corruption and pollution are present, the hand of the enemy is involved.
(4) We are to serve God only ; we cannot serve God with another god. We must be free from other gods to serve God.
Matthew 4:10
[10]Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and HIM ONLY SHALT THOU SERVE .
Matthew 6:24
[24]No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. YE CANNOT SERVE GOD AND MAMMON .
We cannot serve God and serve the enemy of God at the same time .
(5) Only by glorious liberty can the saints have glorious living. There is no glory, but shame and reproach, in captivity.
Isaiah 43:7
[7]Even every one that is called by my name: for I HAVE CREATED HIM FOR MY GLORY , I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
Romans 8:21
[21]Because the creature itself also shall be DELIVERED FROM THE BONDAGE OF CORRUPTION INTO THE GLORIOUS LIBERTY of the children of God.
Glory and glorious liberty belongs to the children of God.
Glorious liberty is the birthplace of the glorious life and the glorious living.
Bondage corrupts the destiny of God’s people.
The glorious life is the liberated life.
(6) Until the saints are delivered from the hands of their oppressors, their glorious inheritance are not delivered into their hands.
Deuteronomy 4:20
[20]But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him A PEOPLE OF INHERITANCE , as ye are this day.
People of inheritance are people who have been delivered from their oppressors and are walking in the liberty of Christ.
By liberation movement comes the inheritance of the saints.
Obadiah 1:17
[17]But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.
This is wholistic capture of liberty :
(a) deliverance from demonic influence.
(b) Freedom from the polluting and defiling influence of sin (holiness)
(c) Dwelling in the possession of material goods (physical, financial and material prosperity)
(7) Liberation movement is pivotal to the the saints for their dominion mandate on the earth.
Romans 6:14,16
[14]For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
[16]Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
The saints cannot reign as priests and kings on earth when being ruled by the prince of this world through sin.
We live in alignment to God’s dominion agenda by subjecting ourselves to the righteousness of God through faith.
Dominion has been given to us here on earth. We can only realise this mandate by having all things under our feet.
In conclusion, it must be born in mind that the forces contending with mankind has two major characteristics :
(1) He does not let go of his prisoners.
Exodus 3:19
… I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go….
Isaiah 14:17
…. that opened not the house of his prisoners ?
Jeremiah 50:33
[33]Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together: and ALL THAT TOOK THEM CAPTIVES HELD THEM FAST ; THEY REFUSED TO LET THEM GO .
(2) The oppressors of God’s people are stronger than them.
Jeremiah 31:11
[11]For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from THE HAND OF HIM THAT WAS STRONGER THAN HE .
In view of these reasons, it will take God who is stronger than all to liberate the saints from their oppressors. God achieve liberation movements by the following ways.
(1) God makes the saints stronger than their enemy.
Psalms 105:24
[24]And he increased his people greatly; and MADE THEM STRONGER THAN THEIR ENEMIES .
Amos 5:9
That strengthen the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress.
(2) God plead the cause of His people.
Jeremiah 50:33-34
[33]Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together: and all that took them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go.
[34]Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his name: HE SHALL THROUGHLY PLEAD THEIR CAUSE , that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
Exodus 14:14
[14]The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
In summary, liberation movement is achieved by the movement of God’s outstretched hand on the behalf of His people thus making them stronger than their enemies and fighting their battles for them.
May we experience liberation movements and be henceforth free from all bondage, in the name of Jesus Christ.

GLORIOUS CONFESSION :
God’s hand is stretched out and is moving on my behalf. By the mighty move of God’s outstretched hand on my behalf, I experience release from all captivities. As the power of God is moving in my favour, whoever and whatever is holding on to me and my inheritance is loosing his/its grip on me. I am liberated by the move of God’s power into my inheritance, in the name of Jesus Christ.
